Conversations With… Albert Genower
Today’s guest, Stewart Lee, was called the world’s greatest living comedian by The Times and his work as a stand-up has drawn consistent and virtually unparalleled critical acclaim. But he’s also worked extensively in music—writing, curating, and occasionally performing his encyclopaedic knowledge of all things music.
Our conversation touched on the role that folk and jazz has played in his stand up, why D major is the best chord, and the musicality of his new show, Stewart Lee VS the Man-Wulf. He was also the frontman of critically acclaimed psychedelic jam band Dust Harvest, which I hope is a fair introduction.
