King Crimson – Larks’ Tongues In Aspic, The Complete Recordings

This thirteen disc, memorabilia crammed, out-take and live show enhanced, fortieth anniversary big box refit of Larks’ Tongues in Aspic scrutinizes King Crimson’s fusion of Dionysian ecstasies and progressive rock’s Apollonian aspirations.
Jamie Muir, a veteran of sixties sessions with free improvisers Evan Parker and Derek Bailey, plays chains, saws and junk, alongside the core band’s fiddly time signatures, string drones, and proto-post punk guitar noise.
The orchestrated chaos evidently softened for the album proper, German TV footage finds Robert Fripp and co foraging frenziedly at rock’s fringes.

And yes, I got to know his act well during the rehearsals and Tech rehearsal. I don't hate this man in the slightest, I pity him. Where he tries to wear the "never hitting mainstream" as a cloak (Even naming a tour after it) the cracks appear when you're one on one with him.
