April/May 2000 - Stewart made his televisual directing debut with ATTENTION SCUM a new BBC comedy series starring Perrier nominee, Simon Munnery as The League Against Tedium for BBC2, transmitted from February 2001, when it receives great press.
The show is de-commissioned before broadcast by new controller Jane Root, who says it "does not fit the new channel profile" which is now aimed at "affluent, sophisticated over 35 year olds." Read all about it here: www.leagueagainsttedium.co.uk

August 2000 - Badly Mapped World is Lee's last ditch attempt to write a stand-up show which can transcend stand-up limitations.
Lee made money in Edinburgh for the first time.
National critics give the thickening comedian his first bad reviews, punters love it.
