1999 - Stewart and Richard
Herring were given a 2nd series of their BBC2 comedy series THIS
MORNING WITH RICHARD NOT JUDY. The show broadcast throughout the spring and was described by The Observer as "the comedy highlight of the week", and was then cancelled by new controller Jane Root for 'not performing well in the post-Simpsons slot' despite the fact that, due to scheduling so erratic sometimes the cast themselves could not find out when the show was actually airing, it occupied the "post Simpsons slot" less than 50% of the times it was transmitted. As the BBC lost the master-tapes of half the series within weeks of transmission, it is unlikely to be repeated or released on video / DVD. |
