Judy for BBC2, commissioned off the back of the improvised
chat style shows Rich thought up for Edinburgh Fringe.

1998 - Filming inserts for TMWRNJ1 S Lee prepares
to breathe life into a lettuce via the miracle of TV. An invisible
wire is held by S Lee while he tugs it to make the lettuce
move. Later he will provide the wonderful voice that brings
the lettuce so vividly to life. |

June 1998 - Stew performs stand-up at The
Banff TV Festival and appears on a panel discussion ruined
by the colonial arrogance of BBC TV executive Geoffrey Perkins |

they were coming to see a pisstake of Richard And Judy or,
if they were very stupid, as they were in Hull in 1997, Richard
and Judy themselves

1998 Stewart and Richard recorded the 2ND FESTIVAL
OF FUN from The Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival.
The series was broadcast on Channel 5 and is also in an eternal
late night cable TV repeat loop that renders it tediously
over-familiar. While in Montreal, Stew gives a lecture entitled
Why Comedy Sucks. |

1998 - Edinburgh. Cluub Z, Lee & Herring, a new
solo show and a reprise of the Montreal talk.
August 1998 - On stage with members of the
German experimental rock band Faust, during Lee and Herring's
broad minded Edinburgh Fringe improvised daily morning show.
A highlight of his pathetic life.
