What Would Judas Do?

January 2007 - What Would Judas Do?

January 2007

Double bill of my new show What Would Judas Do? and Mark Ravenhill's Product (World Remix) at The Bush Theatre, Shepherd's Bush, London.
I have no plans at present to do the show again, but there was interest from radio, and other venues at one point.
A collection of 3 of these performances are available on CD from GoFasterStripe.

41st Best Standup

March 2007 - 41st Best Standup

March 2007

A cheap Channel 4 list show, The 100 Best Stand-Up Comedians, brings me in at number 41, in a list the doesn’t even include, for example, Simon Munnery, Greg Fleet and Kevin MacAleer. Never mind. I can exploit this for publicty.

May 2007

I appear, inexplicably, on a poster in the background of a fight between She Hulk and Doc Samson in Hulk #106.
The artist is Gary Frank, who, it turns out, was aware of my Ang Lee routine.

Pea Green Boat

June 2007 - Pea Green Boat

June 2007

Go Faster Stripe release a 25 minute audio cd & luxury 10” vinyl single of my 2001/2002 pretentious art-comedy piece PEA GREEN BOAT.

The recording of Pea Green Boat goes on to inspire at least two pieces of music, Anton Barbeau's Boat Called Home (on the album Plastic Guitar, 2009) and Day 93, by Hell Money (on the album I).
Read press from the original stage version here.

Johnson & Boswell - Late But Live

August 2007 - Johnson & Boswell - Late But Live

OCTOBER 2007, - APRIL 2008

Mammoth endless 80 date tour and six week Soho theatre run of 41st Best Stand-Up Ever, to bizzarely differently sized venues, with support from Steve Carlin, Henning Wehn and Greg Fleet.
I never want to tour for this long again.
Two car breakdowns, hundreds of motorway meals, too many Travelodges, a weight gain of nearly two stone, 800 happy punters in Leeds, silence in Maidenhead, etc etc etc.
Thanks to everyone who came.
