We would like to present a 27 min poor quality, but historically important, documentation of Stewart Lee's first recorded set.

In order to give some gravitas to the cd, we've packaged it in a little gatefold sleeve which includes a newspaper review of the gig.

Also in the package is a poster which features a picture of Stew when he was young and beautiful on one side, and a facsimile of the original publicity for the gig on the other.
And here's a review of the CD from Chortle.

WHAT WOULD JUDAS DO? Was first performed in the autumn of 2006 at Battersea Arts Centre as one of their enormously important, work-in-progress Scratch Nights.

The idea was to know the story of the last week of Judas' life as well as possible and then kind of throw it away, and tell it anecdotally, like someone remembering a series of events.
These three, not terribly hi-fi, recordings are all that remains of What Would Judas Do? They are about 20% different from each other.
You can download a work-in-progress version of the script here.

Stewart is the uncredited and unpaid guitarist, bassist and co-writer on most of these messy, lo-fi, hardcore anarcho-punk pastiches from the comedian Simon Munnery in his alter ego, or real self, of Alan Parker.

Sonic Arts Network is proud to present the eighth instalment of its critically acclaimed CD series, The Topography of Chance, curated by Stewart Lee; stand-up comedian, writer and director.
The Topography of Chance is a journey through chance elements that traverses countries and cultures that range from the Golan Heights to Arizona and from Hackney to Rome.
After a surreal encounter with a Fluxus Group floating a large portrait painting down a river in Cardiff, eating Borscht out of an oil drum and learning more about late Fluxus artist Emmett Williams (the face in the picture), Stewart bought Williams' book An Anecdoted Topography of Chance.
The book documents in detail, objects left at random on the desk of the artist Daniel Spoerri and it is this premise of chance that acts as inspiration for this CD.
The Topography of Chance brings together an eclectic mix of artists, comedians and writers producing work ranging from the beautiful to the bizarre.

Giving Birth to a Stone is the debut album of UK metal band Peach, released in 1994.

It was rereleased in 2000, with different artwork, designed by Adam Jones of Tool. It was re-released again globally on April 2, 2007 through Sony BMG - and is also being made available in downloadable formats.

Stew improvises an inaudibly mixed spoken word section on the track You Lied by Peach, subsequently covered by Tool, and available here
